What drives the Cost of Stamped Metal Parts?

    1. Size of the part and thus material usage and tooling size. (we use dedicated software to minimize scrap)
    2. Material type. For example carbon steel versus stainless steel.
    3. Order quantity a larger quantity allow for lower price per part.
    4. Complexity, the amount of features and their difficulty associated with the method which creates them. For example tapped extrusions close to an edge.
    5. Tolerances associated with critical dimensions. See our blog post about typical tolerances for stamped parts.
    6. Additional processes other than stamping for example plating and or deburring.
    7. Cleanliness requirements.
    8. Packaging and shipping methods bulk shipping versus tray packaging
      for example.
